I. Testoni, Il Covid-19 nell’Antropocene: tra terrore della morte e nuovi limiti

Abstract

La riflessione dell’umanità su sé stessa definisce il proprio apparire nella vicenda cosmica come l’attimo dell’Antropocene, un’epoca affacciata sull’abisso dell’estinzione, di cui il COVID-19 sembra aver dato le avvisaglie. Alla base dello spaesamento vissuto nel periodo della pandemia sta l’angoscia di pensare l’esistenza interamente inscritta nei perimetri dell’abitare un mondo che si palesa come mortale. L’articolo entra nel merito di questi nodi partendo dalla prospettiva di Emanuele Severino, la quale rende possibile una critica sostanziale a tale lettura dell’esperienza esistenziale.

Abstract (english)

Humanity’s reflection on itself defines its own appearing in the cosmic event as the moment of the Anthropocene, an era facing the abyss of extinction, of which COVID-19 seems to have given the first signs. At the base of the disorientation experienced in the period of the pandemic is the anguish of thinking existence entirely inscribed in the perimeters of living in a world that is revealed as mortal. The article enters into the merits of these knots starting from the perspective of Emanuele Severino, which makes possible a substantial critique of this reading of existential experience.
